A Lover's Prayer

God willing,
when inspiration comes to me
and tells me: write,
I write, as I always do.

I write what it tells me,
my inspiration of love for her.

And with deep sorrow and many tears,
I ask with the longing of a lover to his beloved:
Will I leave this world of sad separation
to a world of joyful reunion?
Will I live with her always, without parting,
in the paradise of love,
always happy with her?

And the songs of my love for her
become joyful words,
instead of being so painfully sad
like the tears of my heart and soul
as they always are now,
in this world of sad separation from her.

O sky,
do you hear me?
Every word I write
is a prayer to you.

Will I leave this world of sad separation
to a world of joyful reunion?
Will I truly know happiness
in the paradise of her presence with me?

صلاة عاشق

إن شاء الله،
عندما يأتيني الإلهام
ويقول لي: اكتب،
فأكتب كما أفعل دائمًا.

أكتب ما يقوله لي،
إلهامي في الحب لها.

وبكل حزن كبير ودموع كثيرة،
أسأل بلهفة عاشق لحبيبته:
هل سأرحل عن عالم الفراق الحزين
إلى عالم اللقاء السعيد؟
فأعيش معها دائمًا، من دون فراق،
في جنة الحب،
بسعادة معها دائمًا.

وأغاني حبي لها
تصير كلمات سعيدة،
بدلًا من أن تكون حزينة جدًا
مثل دموع قلبي وروحي
كما هي دائمًا الآن،
في عالم الفراق الحزين عنها.

يا أيتها السماء،
هل تسمعينني؟
كل كلمة أكتبها
صلاتي لك.

هل سأرحل عن عالم الفراق الحزين
إلى عالم اللقاء السعيد؟
هل سأعرف السعادة
في جنة وجودها حقًا معي؟
