A Humanitarian Dinner Invitation

If God destines me to host a dinner banquet,

I will invite all the hungry in this world,

My brothers and sisters in humanity,

For I am a human just like them,

And they are human just like me,

I hunger as they hunger,

And since I know the taste of hunger,

I know what they feel.

How can I ask God for mercy and provision for me,

If I don't show mercy to others?

How can I hope for His generosity,

If I am not generous to the needy?

No, by God, I will never be stingy,

And if I can give to every deprived person,

I will give without hesitation,

With all love and humanity.

God Almighty is Forgiving, Merciful, Generous,

So why shouldn't I be the same?

God loves all His creations,

So why shouldn't I love them too?

If I can, 

Build a home for every homeless person,

And feed every hungry one,

And grant the poor what they need

Of food, medicine, and clothing,

By the One in whose hand is my soul,

I will surely do so, God willing,

Without hesitation,

With all that I possess,

From what God Almighty has given me.

Oh God, make us hands that give, not mouths that ask,

And hearts that love, not eyes that forget.

Grant us to be a reason to satisfy a hunger, or a tear of joy,

even with a loaf of bread.

Amen, O Lord of the Worlds.

دعوة عشاء إنسانية

إذا قدّر الله لي أن أستضيف مأدبة عشاء،

فسأدعو إليها كل الجائعين في هذا العالم،

إخوتي وأخواتي في الإنسانية،

فأنا إنسان مثلهم،

وهم بشر مثلي،

أنا أجوع كما يجوعون،

وبما أني أعرف طعم الجوع،

فأنا أعرف ما يشعرون به.

كيف أطلب من الله أن يرحمني ويرزقني،

إن لم أرحم غيري؟

كيف أرجو كرمه،

إن لم أكن كريمًا مع المحتاجين؟

لا، والله، لن أكون بخيلًا أبدًا،

ولو استطعت أن أعطي كل محروم،

لأعطيت دون تردد،

بكل محبة وإنسانية.

الله سبحانه وتعالى غفور، رحيم، كريم،

فلماذا لا أكون كذلك؟

الله يحب كل مخلوقاته،

فلماذا لا أحبهم أنا أيضًا؟

لو أني أستطيع،

أن أبني منزلًا لكل مشرّد،

وأطعم كل جائع،

وأمنح الفقراء ما يحتاجونه

من غذاءٍ ودواءٍ وكساء،

والذي نفسي بيده،

لسوف أفعل ذلك، إن شاء الله،

من دون تردد،

وبكل ما أملك،

مما أعطاني الله سبحانه وتعالى.

اللهم اجعلنا أيدي تُعطي لا أفواه تطلب،

وقلوبًا تُحب لا أعين تنسى.

ارزقنا أن نكون سببًا في سدّ جوعَةٍ،أو دمعَة فرح،

ولو برغيف خبز.

آمِينَ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ.
