What I Most Feel Excited For

I feel excited for the day when true peace prevails,  

when hearts from every religion,  

every color,  

every language  

embrace in a global and lasting peace.

When we break the chains of hatred,  

and build bridges of love over rivers of pain,

when no one is excluded,  

no soul is humiliated,  

and no dream is killed in the name of homeland or God.

I dream of a time when humanity blooms again,  

when the tears of hungry, displaced children are wiped away,  

and the cries of grieving mothers dry up, 

and the worries of fathers who fear for their families are calmed,

and the dignity of every oppressed person is restored, 

and the voice of truth is heard without fear.

I am a poetic bird  

soaring above the ashes of wars, 

and crafting wings of light from my pain,

and my soul burns for a future  

where no one is forced into silence about the truth,  

and where humanity is not slaughtered in the name of politics or religion.

That day,  

what I most feel excited for,  

a day when love prevails,  

when mercy triumphs,  

when humanity blossoms,  

and peace fills the earth,  

is what I write for,  

what I long for most,  

what I wish for most,  

what I pray for most.  

Even if I am not alive to see it  

I will be there in my words.

أكثر ما أشعر بالحماس له

أشعر بالحماس لليوم الذي يسود فيه السلام الحقيقي،  

حين تتعانق القلوب من كل الأديان،  

من كل الألوان،  

من كل اللغات،  

في سلامٍ عالميٍ شاملٍ دائم.

حين نكسر قيود الكراهية،  

ونبني جسور المحبة فوق أنهار الألم،

حين لا يُقصى أحد،  

ولا يُهان إنسان،  

ولا يُقتل حلمٌ باسم الوطن أو الإله.

أحلم بزمانٍ تُزهر فيه الإنسانية من جديد،  

تُمحى فيه دموع الأطفال المشردين الجائعين،  

ويجفّ بكاء الأمهات الحزينات على أطفالهن،  

ويهدأ قلق الآباء الخائفين على عائلاتهم،  

وتُعاد فيه كرامة كل مظلوم،  

ويُسمع فيه صوت الحق دون خوف.

أنا طائرٌ شاعري،  

أُحلّق فوق رماد الحروب،  

وأبني من ألمي أجنحةً من نور،  

وروحي تحترق لأجل مستقبلٍ  

لا يُجبر فيه أحدٌ على السكوت عن الحق،  

ولا تُذبح فيه الإنسانية باسم السياسة أو الدين.

ذلك اليوم،  

أكثر ما أشعر بالحماس له،  

يوم يسود فيه الحب،  

وتنتصر فيه الرحمة،  

وتُزهر فيه الإنسانية،  

ويملاء فيه السلام الأرض، 

هو أكثر ما أكتب له،  

أكثر ما أشتاق إليه،  

أكثر ما أتمناه،  

أكثر ما أُصلي لأجله،  

حتى وإن لم أكن فيه حيًّا،  

سأكون فيه حاضرًا بكلماتي.
