A Disguised Devil 

He came to us from afar,
a devil disguised as an angel.

They said: He carries an olive branch in his hand,
but he is hiding a drawn sword,
and in his eyes there is a stillness 
like the calm before the storms, 
and behind his gaze lay a suspicious cunning
foretelling of imminent evil,
bringing with it death,
harm, humiliation, and destruction.

They said: He speaks the language of peace
as if he were a new prophet,
saying: "I am one of you and I love you,"
but his words drip with lies,
and his hands is stained with the blood of the Innocents, 
that he shed without shame or fear of God.

His smile is cunning,
showing the fangs of a wolf
thirsting for bloodshed. 

He disguised himself in shepherd robe, 
with a sword in his hand,
and in his heart there is a fire of destruction,
wanting to repaint life
with the color of ash.

But he forgot
that souls know their killer,
and from beneath the soil will condemn him,
even if he hides in the innocence robe. 

For however he changes his appearance,
the evil of his deeds will reveal his devilish truth, 
for peace is not made by swords,
and lies will not hide his crimes,
even if spoken in the language of innocence, 
and everyone will know that he was but
a devil disguised as an angel.

شيطان متنكر

جاءنا من بعيد،
شيطانٌ متنكرٌ بهيئة ملاك.

قالوا: يحمل في يده غصن زيتون،
لكنّه كان يُخفي سيفًا مسلولًا،
وفي عينيه سكينة
تشبه الهدوء قبل العواصف،
وخلف نظراته دهاء مريب
ينذر بشر قريب،
يأتي معه الموت،
والإيذاء، والإهانة، والدمار.

قالوا: يتحدث بلغة السلام
كأنه نبي جديد،
يقول: "أنا منكم وأحبكم"،
لكن كلماته تقطر كذبًا،
ويداه ملطختان بدماء الأبرياء،
التي سفكها من دون حياء أو خوف من الله.

ابتسامته ماكرة،
تُظهر أنياب ذئب
متعطش لسفك الدماء.

تنكر بثوب الراعي،
وفي يده سيف،
وفي قلبه نار خراب،
يريد أن يعيد رسم الحياة
بلون الرماد.

لكنه نسي
أن الأرواح تعرف قاتلها،
ومن تحت التراب سوف تدينه،
حتى ولو تخفى بثوب البراءة.

فمهما غيّر مظهره،
شرّ أفعاله سيفضح حقيقته الشيطانية،
فالسلام لا يُصنع بالسيوف،
والأكاذيبُ لن تخفي جرائمه،
حتى لو نُطِقت بلغة البراءة،
وسيعلم الجميع أنه لم يكن سوى
شيطانًا متنكرًا بهيئة ملاك.
