From a year

A year ago my beloved husband

I prepared what you like of food 

I sat with our children at home, waiting for you

To make us happy to have you back

To we eat together as a happy family

Then we heard a terrifying sound

The house collapsed on us

Dust filled the place

I couldn't see anything

I was feeling a lot of pain in my injured body

I heard the crying and screaming of our children, Daddy Daddy, come help us

Then I started yelling for you to come and help us

But you didn't come

Then I realized that our neighbors and those around us would not come to help us

They are not better than us

Then I lost consciousness and woke up in the hospital

My children and I were receiving treatment for our wounds

I looked around for you, but I didn't see you

Then I learned the sad and painful news that increased our sadness and pain

You and many others are missing because of this terrible explosion

That destroyed a large part of our beloved city, Beirut, the capital of our beloved country, Lebanon

And because of it, many people were killed, wounded, and lost

The wounds of our bodies are healed, but the wounds of our hearts are not

Like me like many others

From a year we have been living in great grief for the loved ones we lost in that very sad and painful tragedy

We renovated what we were able to renovate from what was destroyed, in the absence of the help of the state that abandoned us

Like me like so many people whom have lost loved ones

A year ago, I wish a miracle would happen and you would come back to us, my love

Like me like so many living victims

From a year, we have been waiting for justice to be achieved and to punish the criminals and those who helped them carry out their heinous crime against the homeland and the citizen.

Unfortunately, justice has been absent due to their evil and corrupt selfish interests

They are conspiring against the rights of the homeland and the citizen

And like me like many others,

We ask God to avenge us and you from them and to punish them and burn them with the fire of Hell

They are the enemies of God, the homeland, man and goodness

We also ask God to have mercy on you all, and to make His paradise your abode

Hope to see you there

And be together again with love and happiness

See you my love
